Blogger Bargains

I'm sorry I'm so late in bringing you the second part of the #BloggersDoItBetter Challenge, I have been thinking of lots of ideas but simply couldn't bring myself to write the post, until one day, shopping in Sainsburys, I came across these bargains and had to share them with you all. This is also (sort of) my first haul on Tinkerbell Kelly so I hope you enjoy...

Phil Smith Big It Up Volume Boosting Spray
Personally, I have not heard about this brand before. The fact that nearly every product was on promotion makes me wonder if it is a new brand, not a clue, if you know please enlighten me! I have been looking for a product to help my hair get some volume, however all of the products I have heard of have been fairly pricey. When I saw this at half its original price I decided 'let's give it a try' and so far I have been suitably impressed.

Nivea Soft Moisturising Cream
I recently started using this half used tube of Nivea cream that my friend didn't need any more and have become ob-sessed! I use it on my face and my hands and can honestly say my face has felt amazingly soft since! I have previously used the Simple moisturiser which I have always sworn by, but this is on another level of softness. Even softer than a baby's bottom!! Therefore, I was off to repurchase it (the whole reason I was in Sainsburys) when I saw that it was reduced by a third, so naturally bought the bigger pot!

Dirty Works Buttery Salt Scrub
Whilst down the bath aisle, I saw all of the Dirty Works products. Straight away, the packaging reminded me of Soap and Glory products, though my immediate assumption was that its a cheaper version of it. All of their products were on offer for £2 each so I decided to purchase this to try and get my skin feeling nice and soft ready for summer. I have used it once so far and it literally feels like you're rubbing coarse sea salt over your body. Lovely. The effects afterwards are definitely worth it though. Just make sure that's the last thing you do in the bath unless you want to feel like you're having a bath on a bed of sandpaper!

Dirty Works Bath Soak
This is the second Dirty Works £2 purchase I made. I have been needing a new 'bubble bath' and this caught my eye and smells lovely!

Have you tried any of these products? What do you think?

Liebster Award | Part Three

Welcome to Part Three of the Liebster Award! If you keep up with my posts, you will know that I was nominated THREE(!) times for this so I decided to separate my answers in to three different posts to make for easier reading!

My last nomination comes from Rosie from Rosie's Cottage. Here I will be answering her questions...

1. What's your favourite movie?
How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days

2. What's your favourite Book?
Harry Potter or Hunger Games

3. What makes you laugh?
I have a lack of common sense, so tend to ask stupid questions, then laugh!! Also Martin makes me laugh ALL the time. A quality in him which I love.

4. Music? what/who do you like to listen to?
This is a very common question as I've answered in on previous Posts and Tags. I listen to Chart music the most.

5. What's your favourite season? Are you a summer person, or do you prefer Spring? Winter? Autumn?
The periods at the beginning of Spring and beginning of Summer.

6. How much time do you spend working on your blog?
Not as much as I should. OOPS!

7. What is your favourite quote?
Laughter is Timeless. Imagination has no age. Dreams are forever.

8. Who inspires you? Who do you most admire?
This question has been on all three of my Liebster Award questions! How interesting. Here is my answer:
Noone in particular. I see people that inspire me all of the time. People that work hard to achieve what they want in life.

9. If you could change anything in the world, what would it be?
I would change all of the discrimination in the world to people just because of their race/ homosexuality/ disability/ beliefs.... the list could go on. Nobody should have a preconceived opinion on someone based on these. This is a topic which I strongly believe in.

10. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would be your dream home?
Haha in Part Two I said this was a recurring Topic: DUBAI

11. What's your favourite food?
Pastaaaaaaaa! I love love love it!

Liebster Award | Part Two

Welcome to Part Two of the Liebster Award! If you keep up with my posts, you will know that I was nominated THREE(!) times for this so I decided to separate my answers in to three different posts to make for easier reading!

My next nomination comes from the most local blogger I have found (ha!), Shani from Fierce Obsession. Here I will be answering her questions...

1/ What’s the one bit of advice you would give to someone starting a new blog?
Definitely stick to what you believe in and want to write about. It shows if you are blogging about something no of interest to you. Stay true to yourself.

2/ Who inspires you?
This was a previous question on Part One. I have no specific person who inspires me, I meet/see people all the time who inspire me!

3/  Where in the world would you most like to live?
At the moment I really want to live and work in Dubai for a year. (Recurring topic ha!)

4/ What do you do in your day job?
I work with children, every day is different and they come out with the most wonderful things!

5/ If you could only eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life what would it be?
Pasta! No thinking time needed for me there.

6/ Besides blogging, what’s your favourite thing to do?
Go on lovely exploring walks with my Boyfriend.

7/ What's your favourite type of music?
Mmmm I like music that is in the charts!

8/ How would you describe your style?
I would describe it as boring, but that's me!

9/ If you could be anything in the world, what would you be?
I would absolutely love to be able to afford to be a stay at home mum/ house wife. As weird as that sounds!

10/ What is your one beauty must-have?
Okay first I thought Foundation, because I have such uneven skintone. But then I thought 'What about Mascara?' In truth.. I don't know! Cheating I know sorry!

11/ If you could ban a word or phrase from ever being used again, what would it be?
YOLO!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness. No explanation needed. (Brilliant question!)

Wreck This Journal | Update 2

Hello you! Welcome back to my Wreck This Journal experience. If you haven't seen my first two posts you can find the Introduction Here and Update One Here.

I have had some time to sit down and work through some of the instructions given to me in my Journal. I have to say, that as I am working through them, I am still choosing the 'easier' instructions, forgetting that if I do all of these now, I will eventually have to do all of the 'messier' ones together!! But for now take a nosy at my results...

This took a LOT longer than I had anticipated it would! My hand hurt so much by the end of it and I must say I think its really pretty. What was the title of the book again?  'Wreck Beautify This Journal' That's more my cup of tea!

I don't know about you, but I am SUPER impressed with this Left hand writing of mine!! I haven't tried for ages to write with my left hand so I was surprised when the writing turned out to be legible! The flowers are a little dodgy so clearly I'm better at writing than drawing with my left hand!

My Happy Prescription

At the weekend, Martin and I embarked on an adventure on two wheels! Yep, we went on a bike ride. We actually both have bikes of our own, only Martin's is broken and we had no way of transporting them to where we wanted to go so we hired a couple. Now I LOVE bike rides, the breeze running through my hair, feeling like you're going super fast (even though you're probably dawdling), the ability to cover such a wide space in a small amount of time. However, I had not been on one for a while.... Needless to say, I had very sore legs (and bottom!) after the hour hire time! I had such an amazing time though and where we went all you could hear was the birds and the wind in the trees.

If you need a way to relax and feel good about yourself, I definitely prescribe you some fresh air, sunshine and exercise. It does wonders. As always, the camera came along, so below are some moments we captured. I hope you are well and enjoy.....

Bundles of Furry Happiness

Hi you! I had some snuggly times with these little munchkins and they were being so cuddly! Particularly Teddy who constantly wanted to be nushkled under Buster. I took these and thought I'd share them with you as they put a big smile on my face so I hope they do you as well!

Challenge One | #BloggersDoItBetter

Hello! Welcome Back! I have been a bit absent over the last week.. oops! Last weekend was spent in Budapest (stay tuned for some photos) and then its been a busy week since.

BUT.. I am back. And what a way to come back with the first challenge of the #BloggersDoItBetter Challenge! I am super excited for this first topic, being as I LOVE this time of year. When Gemma emailed with the Topic, I have to say that my initial thought was to create a list of what spring means to me. It was harder than I first thought.

Baby Animals
As you can see, for me, Spring is a lot about nature. I am an animal lover at the best of times and love visiting farms over and over. Naturally at this time of year there are a lot of baby animals floating around and this excites me so much! I could sit/stand and watch baby lambs, pigs, rabbits, chicks all day long!

Bright Colours
I am not one for wearing a lot of colour. I tend to stick to black tops with jeans and maybe push the boat out to some grey or brown occasionally. This spring however, I am trying to experiment with colour and wear some more 'spring' colours. For my recent holiday to Budapest I bought some more colours including these shoes which I am loving.

My love for black and brown also ties into my handbags, which got me looking at various 'spring' coloured bags. Here is what I found, perhaps I will invest in one this spring..

Flowers
This time of year is beautiful when you walk/drive around and observe all of the new colours of flowers growing. There is something so special and uplifting about seeing rows upon rows of daffodils and big beautiful trees covered in blossom. It's enough to put anyone in a good mood surely!

What are your favourite things about Spring? Do you share any of my thoughts? I'd love to know what you think :)

Beauty Blogger Tag

1. Is your hair naturally straight or curly?
When I was younger, I had ringlets, as I grew up I found straighteners and literally straightened it to death! Now its a mix between wavy and curly. I quite like it but I'm hoping it will get nicer as it gets longer so it's not all flicky all over the place!

2. What is your natural hair colour?
I have actually had sooo many different hair colours!! I have now stopped dying my hair as I am growing it out so its a browny gingery colour :)

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
When I started dying my hair I went to a hairdressers as I got highlights, then I started to experiment at home and it was a lot cheaper!

4. How often do you wash your hair?
Recently I found out that it's not good to wash your hair too often, and that the natural oils which are produced help your hair to grow, so I have started to wash it twice a week.

5. Do you wear it the same style everyday or change it?
Now that's its a bit longer I do like to experiment with different styles. I try not to use loads of heat on it to help the growth so I tend to try different braids or failing that I do just 'shove it up'!

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I bite my nails!! Ahh awful I know... anyone have any tips to help me stop!? :/

7. How often do you change your nail varnish?
See above!

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter too or just in the summer?
As I can't really use polish on my finger nails, I do like to polish my toe nails so tend to do this a lot, though as I don't own that many it doesn't often happen.

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?
On a work day, about 10 minutes. On a non work day, about 30 minutes. On an evening out, about 45mins- 60mins.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
Depends!!! If I'm doing a heavy eye then I will do eyes first so as not to ruin my face with fallout. If not I'll do face first.

11. Do you 'collect' makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
Ohhh, I would love to collect, I can't afford it at the moment :(

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
I have actually only worn them once! Maybe because I can't apply them myself.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
At work I wear bare minimum, but at the weekend I do a full face :)

14. Do you wear makeup when home alone or with family?
I do sometimes as I love the actual process of doing my make up and experimenting with different looks.

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?
VERY RARELY!!

16. How many high end products do you have?
I have a few bits.

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?
I tend to go by when I feel like they need doing, it's usually every 3-4 weeks.

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when getting dressed?
I decide when I look in my wardrobe ha!

19. How often do you change your handbag?
I think this depends on what I need to use it for. Sometimes it can last for weeks/months.

20. What time do you get up and go to sleep?
I always go to bed at 10pm and usually fall asleep at around 10.30-11pm. In the morning I am awful at getting up: I have an alarm at 6.30am, 6.45am, 7am, 7.15am before I eventually get up at around 7.30am!!

21. How often and when do you work out?
I have started playing badminton with Martin, we want to go at least once a week :)

22. Left handed or right handed?
Right handed!

23. How tall are you?
5ft4

24. Do you speak a foreign language?
Nope.

25. How many pets do you have?
One rabbit and 3 Guinea Pigs

26. How often are you on blogger?
Every night for different amounts of time.

27. Do you read the comments posted on blogs?
Yes!! That's the best part!!

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yes, though I don't know when I'm going to be able to buy them all!!

29. What kind of camera do you use to take photographs?
I use Martin's camera!! I know nothing about cameras but its a Lumix gf5 with a sigma30mm lens.

31. How often do you clean your house?
Every weekend Martin and I have a deep clean of the house. Obviously the kitchen gets done daily :)

32. What is your favourite colour?
Pink and green and now purple!

33. What is your favourite fashion/beauty magazine?
I don't actually really read any magazines! Should I?

34. Do you swear?
Sometimes, but never badly: very rarely.

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Catching up on telly, looking at blogs, watching youtube then bed!!

If you complete this Tag, please let me know as I have LOVED this one and would love to read your answers!
