I Don't Cook On Days That End In Y...

Hello lovelies!

Ever had the feeling where it's got to the end of the day, you've just got in from work or a long day elsewhere and you're soooo hungry. You open the fridge, have a look around. Nope nothing there. Move to the cupboard, have a look. (And when I say look, I mean simply LOOK, no moving things!) Back to the fridge. This process continues until you finally decide on a throw it all together meal, run to the shops for some ingredients or just simply reach for the take out menus? Anyone? Because I know that was a daily occurrence for me before I started this....

I was bored of constantly having the same process every day and noticed that I was spending a lot of extra, unnecessary money on daily trips to Tesco or on Fast Food. I also was very wary of the fact that eating take out a lot is not good for you! Well, for me anyway- a moment on the lips, a lifetime on the hips seems to be the way for me.

Enough was Enough.

I decided to make a weekly food plan, decide every week what I would be eating for dinner and then Stick.To.It!!!! At first I used scrap pieces of paper to jot down my ideas, but I soon found that these were getting lost and then soon crept in to the old ways! For my birthday I received a Next voucher and was having a nosy in there when Martin spotted this Meal Planner. Needless to say I loved it (especially as it matches my red theme kitchen).

Since planning my meals I can honestly say cooking has been a lot easier. It has also had the added advantage that I only buy what I need to from the weekly food shop, resulting in a lower weekly food budget and no sweet treats! Even better for the waistline!

If you have this daily problem, I urge you to think about this, and perhaps share your experience? What are your favourite go to meals?

Experimenting With Make Up | Mac

So some of you may know from reading my birthday post that I got a mac make up session from my Mum and Dad. This happened a couple of weekends back and I'm finally writing up my experience to let you know how it went!

Beckworth Emporium | Photos

This weekend was again, lovely! I'm so glad that the weather seems to be staying nice because as I said in a previous post, it really effects my mood. On Saturday we decided to visit Beckworth Emporium: A garden centre/food hall. We have heard lots of good things about this from friends and colleagues and decided to visit ourselves.

Here are a few pictures from our time here, there are some beautiful colours, enjoy!

TMI Tag | More About Me

Hello Hello everyone! So my blog has been going a little while, and in the time I have also been reading other blogs a lot more. I have come to find that I really enjoy reading posts about peoples life and getting to know them. I know that I did the 25 Facts about me, but I have seen this post floating around and thought 'why not!' So here goes, get to know me more :)

My 5 Happy Moments | Weekend

As I am sure we are all aware, due to the many Facebook, Instagram and Twitter posts there have been about it (!) but this weekend has been GORGEOUS! Well, for me anyway!

Wreck This Journal | Introduction

I recently saw this journal when I was browsing on amazon and having heard positive things about it before, decided to buy it (bit of an impulse buy I must admit) to see what the talk has been about!! My initial thought as I browsed through the pages was that I am definitely not going to be able to make it so dirty!! I love things to be neat and organised, with everything symmetrical and non smudged! As you can see from the introductory paragraph, it states that it may help you 'let loose' so I am intrigued to see if this will make me more 'relaxed'.

I plan to follow instructions in the book and let you in on what I have to do as a mini series on the blog. Keep in touch to see what awaits.....

Have you ever done this? Would you find it easy to 'Wreck This Journal?'

Muddles... Muddy Puddles

This weekend I went to visit my parents to clear out my teenage bedroom, sob! Mind you, I did move out properly a year ago and 4 years if you count being at University, so I did well :) As I've mentioned before, Martin and I love going on walks and whenever we go to my parents we always find time for a walk. Walking at home has the added benefit of being out with my gorgeous doggies! Watching Bailey swimming for his stick over and over is definitely something.

The fields were extremely muddy with even the roads and paths having big puddles everywhere, hence the inspiration for the name of this post. At one point I nearly lost my boot in the mud, which I'm convinced was like sinking sand! I did contemplate taking photos at this point but I figured that surviving the mud pile and not falling over was more important! There was also the added complication of a group of horses which took a shine to us- must have been all of the screaming! I will take this opportunity to state that the photos taken were all on my phone as I forgot to bring home the camera (typical!)

Naturally the sunshine added to the whole experience as it was a B.E.A.UTIFUL day. (cheeky Bruce Almighty quote there) I hope you all had lovely weekends and enjoyed the sunshine!
